Not only is it bad enough that in the UK and Europe we pay a hell of a lot more for this app than in the US but Navionics are now charging for new features they add that most alternative apps have as standard On top of this I just found out that you now have to subscribe yearly to this app What a money grabbing shambles this company has turned into        More features that have to be paid for

Easy to use Good charts Included buoyage in local rivers not shown on my on board Garmin plotter which is new and up to date                 Excellent

Has guided me from Fleetwood uk to the Canaries and all across the Med from Greece to Spain Utterly superb                 Fantastic Can now put in waypoints Love this app

First class app A must for sailors everywhere dont leave port without it On a North Sea crossing from Denmark to Scotland the boat system equipment failed This app got us safely to the Caledonian Canal                

When I open the app I get a base map of the area I want to view When I zoom in sometimes more detail will emerge but more often Im just left with a scaled up base mapchart with no navigation detailsVery disappointed as the older version of this app did not do this and was more user friendly       

My most used and expensive App has stopped working WHY Help please     Just updated to lollipop

Needs gpx routetrack manager night mode better route editing support for WiFi AIS data Thats now two years since they promised an update to this app and we are still waiting              Getting better

Tides and weather stopped working on my Xperia Z2 Have now deleted All files and reinstalled all working perfectly seems the app uninstall did not clear all files and you need to delete manually              Glitch but all OK now

Maps can not be stored in sd card all data cant be transferred fm old device to new              One of best

When they refused to ugrade my first charts which stopped working on later android versions I bought this Have to say I wasnt terribly surprised that they have sneaky add ons such as shallow areas as a paid extra Well hello there Mr Navionics but when you buy a Boating Chart for u20ac30 you expect to be able to see shallow areas So I paid the extra chargebut not happy with Navionics attitude to their customers        Beware Navionics

Follow this fix it works Please delete the file u201cSerializedInfosu201d from your device This file related to the saved weathertides location is located in directory sdcard0NavionicsMarineUKHolland                 Tides and weather stopped working after upgrade

Tested out the App last night No signal to very poor area It still locked on very fast I know the sea area where testing it was spot on Only gripe when you pull up the sonar extra data it is a bit cluttered at the high zoom Hardly a complaint lll use this feature when laying creels on the fishing boat I was using it on a cheap smart phone Chuffed pleased in equal measure                 Just the job

Like previous poster Brad I lost all detail today I also lost the ability to download maps Thankfully I am at home not at sea but this exposes the reliability of this app Otherwise i love it but proof that a paper chart should never be far from reach Disappointed UPDATE following email from Navionics Thanks for the email Unfortunately none of the answers you provide below address the problem u2022 I was using the Navionics Layer not the GOVT charts u2022 The system was not low on memory I was not using any of the apps you suggest u2022 I have not installed any cleaner software that may remove the detail and the detail returned once I reinstalled the app so it was clearly still there just not accessible You may need to examine the stability of your app As I mentioned before which you reference in your disclaimer I do not use this app for navigation I have specific software and instruments to do that on board I use it merely for an overview when on land That said it has not proved reliable enough for that unfortunately        Lost all detail

Used single handed sailing on Samsung galaxy s2 Useful backup to paper chart and for planning ahead Particularly handy to glance at when piloting in tidal estuaries to confirm eyeball navigation              Very useful

Cant open after Android 5 upgrade App has been rendered useless following Android 5 upgrade on my Nexus 4 Seems that Im not the only one affected Have to ask why compatibility wasnt tested before the system update rollout Hopeful a fix will be issued promptly     Cant open after Android 5 upgrade

Becoming a great app but at a glacial pace Features like tides that used to work have now stopped Lets hope that these and the features that have been available on the iPhone get implemented soon Brief update to say that tides have reappeared on Boating Europe but still not working on UK Holland           Great App

Tried using the app on the weekend to navigate a very shallow estuary but no data other than the basemap Annoyed that I had to abort the journey              Lost all the detail after software update

I have 2 separate apps Boating UKHolland and Boating Europe to cover the UK south east coast and northern France French charts looks deliberately visually crippled in the Boating UKHolland app making it impossible to do passage planning and forcing to switch between the apps back and forth Is there a better solution to this The plain free Boating app doesnt see any of the charts I purchased so wouldnt allow me to restore previous purchases Please help        Awkward

Great little navigation app              Navionics

Likes to decide that I did not buy the maps and does not work50 of the time Seems to do some form of online license check Seems stupid for an app that will be used offline on a boatDetails sent to ticket id 00148547 Problems solved by product updates Excellent             

This particular application is good and as a professional skipper I use it a lot However I had Europe West on my phone and it ceased to work I assumed as I had paid for it that it was mine Evidently not I just kept getting a note saying that I was offline It didnt stop this application downloading though And it took my money I wonder how long it will be before this one is taken away from me However having said all thatthis is a good application and works better than the previous version              Be aware

Excellent app but cant be transferred to SD A musthave as backup navigation on smart phone or pad However it needs a lot of storage compared to other apps and all of it is on internal storage 4 stars rather than 5 only because it could be improved by allowing storage of charts on SD card or even better allow the app to be run from SD card too I would still not hesitate to recommend this app              Excellent app but cant be transferred to SD

A recent navionics system upgrade wiped the detail from the charts and the page for the chart upgrades is not loading so I have lost functionality              Unable to upgrade charts since system upgrade

Brilliant app but sadly after recent upgrade the weather tides and current wouldnt appear However excellent service from their help center has corrected this glitch                 UK Holland

Great nav app especially with new add ons BUT why oh why cant we move it to sd card I know the developers are steeped in Apple stuff but in droid you dont clutter up the device memory Get with it chaps           Move it to sd card

I just upgraded my tablet from a Nexus 7 to the newly released Nexus 9 which comes with the latest version of Android Lollipop Navionics crashes on start up Wont run at all Hoping youll fix this soon     Problem on Nexus 9 Lollipop
