If you are Android owner,you now can download WikiCamps Australia for 1,54 € from Google Play. The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 10MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.8.4 has been released on 2014-11-18. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. Old version was easy to use if it s not broke dont fix it new version much more complicated I paid for wikicamps obout 4 years ago was very happy with it now it just disappeared without explanation had to reload again only to find updated version not anywhere near as good Henk welten     Rhonda Welten

Fantastic resource for camping in Australia I have used this extensively around the country I find the extensive filters very useful and the members comments section is ideal to get a feel for what s good and bad about a camp site that can save me from a bad experience Highly recommended                     Ivan Cauchi

STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT WANTING THE OLD VERSION BACK GET A LIFE Best free camping app I ve tried them all Admins are really decent where as they re fair The forum can get a bit nasty but it s manageable Some caravan parks listed do tamper with their reviews and they will try get your review removed if they don t like it so be careful of fake positive reviews If you re from Facebook don t bring your drama here The community here is pretty good                     oi Sassy Maate

I m not finding this app as user friendly as it was before the update I wanted to add a price but had to use a pre determined description which did not allow me to say I was a loyalty member or a single traveller I get frustrated when the app no longer opens instantly but I now have to wait for it to load I have always used an android device when accessing the app Thanks for your response I look forward to the next update                 Sally Henderson

Probably a good app but does not show cost until you have agreed to upgrade and connected to paypal had to google to find price hiding price is such an easy way to get users offside         daveonarush

Loved this app before update Still can t live without it but is currently laggie and often crashs Understand it was a big update Like the previous version it is hard to understand how the filters work but once you get it then you wont look back Not entirely happy right now but still giving 5 stars as I believe next update will fix it and there s nothing else out there that comes close to the info in this app even if there s bugs right now                     liz yule

The upgrade is a massive improvement Although I found the info in the previous version useful this version of the app is so much easier to use Prompt responses by the developer to questions is also very much appreciated I have always recommended the app but previously warned friends it was a bit clunky to use this is no longer the case                     Lisa O'Leary

Best app I have on the phone It allows me to find places to sleep which since I live in a campervan is fairly important I especially like the user reviews so I can see places to avoid I also like the filtering to declutter the screen to quickly find what I m looking for Overall a perfect app and I can t think of any way to improve it Now if we can only get someone like Bunnings to let us stop in their carparks overnight for free like Walmart in America then life would be perfect                     Gary Bea

The upgrade is terrible Have used this app since 2013 and haven t had an issue in the past The app takes awhile to load and when trying to find a location it either freezes or takes awhile to update and most of the time we missed the point where we wanted to go to                 Patrick Pyke

A recent upgrade seems to have caused turmoil However the principle is still the same and easy enough to figure out and its much better It s a great app for planning road trips camping and places of interest particulary if travelling with a dog Filters can be set to narrow down requirements and locations Trips can be planned saved and shared I find the favourites function very useful Support is excellent particularly with the upgrade                 Janice Trafford

Dreadful I was previously a happy user and indeed posted a 5 star review to that effect The latest update was made with no warning and caught many of us out as we were travelling app wouldn t turn on until downloaded and now it looks totally different and very user unfriendly Half the time I have to close it and re open to get back to a different section Most importantly they have lost the zoom feature mine zooms in but not out Use the mouse wheel I was told Well no I don t use a mouse just a touchpad and the pincer was turned off years ago for cause Apparently and within weeks of the new release they are promising to fix things Well I didn t pay to be a beta tester and that s what it feels like     Diane Campbell

Not a bad app but a pretty steep learning curve The trip planner is pretty good please don t change it Further to my previous comment why the he ll did you have to go and change thedamned app just when I was getting up to speed and finding it useful you guys have no idea I have downgraded my rating of the app based on your needless changes to what was becoming a useful app         Nigel Cox

I downloaded tbe updated version 3 0 of WikiCamps last weekend and found that playing with the app it was easy enough to find my way around I ve successfully downloaded on an android and two apple devices keeping all my Favourites Everything appears to be working as it should My only issue I m not fond of the new satellite dish pointer I preferred the older version WikiCamps Facebook page has plenty of tips and questions are promptly answered I love it Big thumbs up for WikiCamps                     Jan Clayworth

Been a user of WikiCamps for a number of years Recently I got a new phone Elcaltel Telstra essential plus model type T 5033T and had difficulty connecting to the app as an existing user Contacted WikiCamps and they got back to me the same day seeking more information and the following day they provided me with a solution I was very impressed by the customer service All seems good now so I will be able to set off on my travels next week with WikiCamps working                     alanandrobyn stephens

The app was updated a couple of weeks ago and I have to conclude the update didn t really make the app better Starting the app takes forever since the update The user interface is a lot less intuitive than before the update All the data users have put in this app is of course still there it s just more difficult and time consuming to find what you re looking for I would vote to roll back to the previous version             basement

Was good but not now The new update takes longer to load then opens on the whole map of Aus so you have to zoom in and the zoom in feature using two fingers is slow and hit and miss Also I think that the green freecamp icons should be only for freecamps Use a different colour for the ones where you have to pay             Bill Smith

New version Terrible 40km south of Mt Isa no network for a week at least We open wikicamps find its a new version that does not work with all our downloaded maps Thanks Just as bad code as previous one too Gets into a mode where it shows no sites with all filters off Have to kill app in device setting and restart to see anything Wikicamps is a great idea but badly implemented         David Bannon

Latest upgrade is very slow to load I m not sure that users really want a new version that is slower than the old one Makes doing a quick check for a campsite frustratinly slow Time to find an alternative app     Mark Waite

unfortunately this version downloaded on both my samsung s5e and my pixel 2 locks up on the first blue screen and will not go any further any ideas nick with great help from wikicamp developers this issue has been resolved a great experience dealing with developers who are keen to help well done                     Nick Sowerby

Wiki camps what have you done I had my trip planned and you kept changing the order of the stops so I changed it again for the 5 6th time and now everything is gone including other trips I had in there Bloody not happy Jan I got better thing to do than reenter the same info a hundred times For a product you have to pay for these new issues need to be sorted quickly thanks             On The Road with John

Latest update is not user friendly When you search for a town a map comes up and when you find the CP and tap it nothing happens Now looking for a new app The old wiki camp s was far better then this useless update     Stephen Reynolds

The best app for the caravaner we used this app as the primary source of info about our intended camp sites for all of our 16 month trip Being able to see other users feed back saved us from some unpleasnat experiences I have this app for windows 10 ans Android well done keep up the good work                 Kevin Young

Latest update has completly ruined a great ap A number of campsites are missing and the app is slow to load and awkward to use Screen for offline maps seems to appear for no reason and I cannot clear it without closing the app Any way to roll back to pre update or I and I suspect others will not continue using it     Greg

preferred older version because i was used to it but I ve managed to work out newer version and I m sure it ll feel natural soon still my biggest issue is I d love unlimited sites which I thought was meant to be coming but it s only 500 I want my whole trip in one but it s split over 4 trips because of the limit                 Nicole Sieg
